Bike Design inspiration

As an artist, I am rather inexperienced in designing vehicles - especially bikes, so using reference materials for inspiration and obviously a reference point will be important. However, I want my bike designs to be  unique in some aspects atleast. But to be unique and realistic, I am going to look at a combination of realistic and custom bikes from various fictions.

The Akira Bike. Interesting points - 'Sit in' rather than 'Sit on' , exposed back tires, mainly metal framework (no exposed engine), glass screen a distance away from the rider. Another pretty unique artistic feature was the 'light trail' from the back lights when the characters drive at night.

Tron Lightbikes
I really apprieciate the aestetic appeal of the nean lines that run on the character and bike. The engine also features such lights and is exposed. The wheel design is also interesting as it is only an empty cylinder.

Traditional 'Chopper' Bike.
Features - Large handlebars, no glass screen, exposed wing mirrors, exposed interior, riders will 'sit back' and ride rather than lean forward (like characters on Saints Row 2), Smaller wheels, saddlebag, back tire almost completely covered by number plates

Moped
This particular bike design looks like a straight cross between a bicycle and a motorbike - featuring a low small motor attached to normal bike frame.

This is a more modern style bike, with exposed motor and a carbon fiber shell.
